In this Japanese version director Kyoshi Fukuda brings The Four of Us to the stage a play he has treasured for many years. The Four of Us uses witty dialogue and powerful performances creating an intimate character study that speaks to audiences across borders.
Two Actors, One Intimate Stage
The production brings together two people in modern Japanese theater. Junki Totsuka, known for his range of acting on stage and in films works with Keisuke Watanabe, who is famous for his strong presence and detailed acting. Together they explore the parts of Moses script offering a real look at friendship between men, jealousy and helping each other. Fukudas direction focuses on the changes in power and feelings, between the two characters using the close stage setup to pull the audience deeply into the story.
